Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are you the Caerfai Farm campsite or Caerfai Bay Caravan and tent park?
A: We are the FARM campsite, situated on the left-hand side of the road as you face the sea. Please note Caerfai Bay Caravan and tent park is a separate business with their own booking system.

Q: Do you allow fire pits and barbecues?
A: Yes. As long as the fire pit or barbecue is off the ground and does not scorch the grass.

Q:What time will our campsite pitch be available from on the day we arrive?
A: Pitches are available from 2pm

Q: What time do we need to leave our pitch on day of departure?
A: Departure is by 11am.

Q: What is the latest time we can arrive on site?
A: The campsite is unlit. Please arrive during daylight hours. Please contact us if you are delayed on arrival day.

Q: Do you freeze freezer packs/ice blocks?
A: We rent out our own freezer packs (£1 deposit per pack) and charge 30p each time you exchange for a frozen pack. Max of 4 packs per pitch.

Q: When is the shop / campsite office open?
A: In low season we open our shop/office daily 9-11am and 4-6pm (closed Sunday afternoons). In the school holidays the shop/office is open 9am-6pm every day, Sundays 9am-12pm.

Q: What do I do if I arrive when the shop / office is closed?
A: Great question! Please check your emails and/or text messages for instructions on how to find your pitch and the number for the BARRIER CODE to enter the site. Occasionally emails end up in spam or junk folders so please check them too.

Q: Will I need the barrier code to enter the campsite?
A: Yes. (See previous question) Please check-in to the shop/office where staff will give you directions to your pitch and the barrier code. Or (if the office is closed) please check your emails or mobile phone for the code.

Q: Do we have any ‘hard standing’ pitches?
A: No, all our pitches are grass.

Q: Where is the nearest pub / bar?
A: In St Davids. St Davids is about 1 mile up the road (5 min drive, or a 15 min walk). Or, if you wanted the scenic route it takes around 40 minutes to walk into St Davids along the coastal path from the campsite. (Scenic route is not recommended for a boozy walk home in the dark!)

Q: Do I need to bring my own cable to use the Electric Hook-ups?
A: Yes. We recommend you use something like this: click here. The cable needs to be around 15 metres long to reach your tent.

Q: What is the maximum power for the EHU?
A: Each electric hook-up is 10amp or 2.5 kilowatt. Please make sure that any heaters/hairdryers and kettles are the same or below this wattage in order for them to function correctly.

Q: Do you take caravans?

A: No, sorry. We do not take caravans. We can accommodate; tents, campervans and motor homes (up to 7.5m in length.)

Q: Can I charge my mobile phone in the shop?

A: We regret that we are unable to charge mobile phones in the shop, we suggest campers use a portable charger power bank or a solar power bank if camping on one of our non EHU pitches.
